چکیده
Abstract Background The long noncoding RNA gastric cancer associated transcript 3 (GACAT3) has been demonstrated to be implicated in the carcinogenesis and progression of many malignancies. However, GACAT3’s levels role esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) not elucidated. Methods GACAT3 amounts were investigated ESCC tissues lines by qPCR. Its biological functions examined CCK-8 assay, colony formation flow cytometry, wound healing transwell xenograft model establishment. relationship between miR-149 was assessed dual-luciferase reporter assay. Results elevated tissue specimens. Functional studies showed that silencing reduced proliferation, migration invasion cultured cells, decreased tumor growth mice. Furthermore, GACAT could directly interact with miR-149. In addition, assays verified promotes through Moreover, acted as a competing endogenous (ceRNA) modulate FOXM1 expression. Conclusions These findings indicate an oncogene acting ceRNA for expression ESCC, suggesting might constitute therapeutic target ESCC.

Role of Brg1 in progression of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma
Objective(s): Epigenetic regulation of gene expression can be carried out through chromatin remodeling enzymes such as SWI/SNF. Brg1 also known as SMARCA4 is a catalytic subunit of SWI/SNF, which is necessary for MMPs expression. Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are known as important player enzymes during tumor progression and metastasis. Aberrant epigenetic modification of chromatin should be...

MiR-1179, a new identified miRNA highly associated with metastasis of colorectal cancer which was never reported in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Here we measured the expression levels of miR-1179 and the candidate target gene in tissues from 40 patients with ESCC. Transwell, Dual-luciferase reporter assay and immunocytochemistry assay were employed to detect the function role of m...
متن کاملLinc-ROR promotes esophageal squamous cell carcinoma progression through the derepression of SOX9
BACKGROUND Novel therapies tailored to the molecular composition of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) are needed to improve patient survival. We investigated the regulatory network of long intergenic non-protein coding RNA, regulator of reprogramming (linc-ROR) and sex-determining region Y-box 9 (SOX9), and their therapeutic relevance in ESCC. METHODS Linc-ROR and SOX9 expression were...
متن کاملNDRG1 overexpression promotes the progression of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma through modulating Wnt signaling pathway
N-myc down-regulated gene 1 (NDRG1) has been shown to regulate tumor growth and metastasis in various malignant tumors and also to be dysregulated in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Here, we show that NDRG1 overexpression (91.9%, 79/86) in ESCC tumor tissues is associated with poor overall survival of esophageal cancer patients. When placed in stable transfectants of the KYSE 30 ESCC...
